These items will make a difference in my student's learning because they will allow them to engage with their senses and regulate their sensory needs. This will in turn help students focus better. The end goal is to be able to give my special day class students the tools they need to be able to self-regulate. The focus is for them to make use of these items independently. My students are special because they always bring something unique to the table. Learning is never-ending on both ends. We need weighted blankets, sensory cushions, finger fidgets, noise-cancellation headphones, and other sensory items.
