My Students

My classroom is setup with individual schedules for each student. This equipment will allow us to have more group interaction while working on fine and gross motor skills. Without equipment to help them expand these skills, students become less attentive and unwilling to complete tasks.

My students have special needs and need extensive exercise and activities included in their daily schedule.

Some of my students are nonverbal and very passive. Others are full of energy and ready for new centers to help them become more independent with exercise and learning material.

My Project

My students will be able to use the materials in a sensory circuit workout. The scooter boards will help build gross motor skills in learning to use their arms and feet to move the board. The music instruments will help the students learn to keep beats and how to play new instruments that they do not get the chance to do in a self-contained classroom.

This project will help increase the student's skills through exercise and music.

My students will have a chance to be more active with these materials that they normally would not be able to do in a self-contained classroom setting.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
