My students not only come in ready to learn each day but more importantly they welcome academic challenges presented! These preschoolers work so hard every day and deserve to have materials that support their dedication to learning. As an educator in a low-income/high poverty district, I thrive on providing my students with opportunities that they may not have the chance to experience if they didn't walk into my classroom. The mission I hold each year, is to give my students tools they can utilize once they move beyond the school walls.

Providing my students with sensory support items will assist them in being able to attend to presented learning tasks. Giving them sensory breaks throughout the day aides in their success throughout the school day. My students would love for their sensory needs to be met by expanding the sensory supplies in our room. Visual trackers, hands on manipulatives, and various textured objects helps provide their desired sensory input.
