My Students

Our classrooms are filled with brilliant minds that will change the world.
Each scholar learns in their own way. In each classroom, there are scholars of various abilities and disabilities. Each scholar is filled with love, passion, possibility. They each have goals and dreams they want to achieve.
Each scholar knows what they want to be when they grow up and knows what they will do to achieve it. Our students come from a city that is known for violence and not the amazing community they have built. Our students face many challenges every day and they still remain the most determined children I have ever met!
My Project
My classroom is filled with students with various needs and abilities. This year my school will be opening a self-contained classroom and I have the privilege of being the teacher. I have created a project that will help my students learn in different ways and that will provide a multi-sensory approach to learning. I plan on having students find letters and animals in kinetic sand. I plan on having students learn vocabulary words through play. A few of my students are not verbal yet and my goal is to teach them to communicate their wants and needs!
These materials will make a tremendous difference in my students' learning by providing a multi-sensory approach to learning.
In my cart, I have added a crash mat for students to jump on and have sensory breaks, plastic sea animals, dinosaurs, and animals to learn their names, alphabet sorting, bear counters to learn to sort, count, learn basic addition, subtraction and so much more.
With your help, I can make their first learning experience a great one! I have students with various abilities and disabilities. Some students have Autism and some have Communication Impairments. This project will provide them with the opportunity to learn in various ways, build on their abilities they already have, and allow them to show/find their hidden talents! This project will help them become the WORLD CHANGERS we know they will be.
