Your generosity has helped put real books and engaging learning materials into the hands of my students at a time when they need it most. Whether it's curling up with a beloved story or flipping through the pages of their very own math and reading magazines, your gift has brought joy, excitement, and a true love of learning into their homes.\r\n\r\nThese resources have made a world of difference—not just academically, but emotionally too. Many of my students are now proudly calling themselves readers and eagerly sharing their new skills with their families. The interactive digital resources you've helped provide through Teachers Pay Teachers have allowed us to continue hands-on, multisensory learning even from afar. My students can move letters, explore sounds, and dive into stories just like they would in our physical classroom—and that connection has been priceless.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our young readers, writers, and thinkers are growing every day. You've helped spark creativity, curiosity, and confidence in children who are just beginning their educational journey. Thank you for believing in them—and for giving them the tools to believe in themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1606960205904,"projectUrl":"project/resilient-readers/5270830/","projectTitle":"Resilient Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ventrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp799701_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1593035869665","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-ventrell"},{"teacherId":799701,"projectId":5314623,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom was filled with powerful, diverse books that my students could see themselves in—and it has made a lasting impact. From the moment the books arrived, the excitement was real. Students couldn't wait to flip through the pages, discover new characters, and bring the stories to life during our reading time. For many of them, these were the first books they held that reflected their own cultures, families, and experiences. That sense of belonging and representation opened doors we hadn't seen open before.\r\n\r\nThese books didn't just build reading skills—they sparked a genuine love of reading. Students began asking for extra reading time, sharing books with one another, and begging to take their favorites home. The joy and confidence they gained from connecting with the stories have helped them grow not only as readers but also as thinkers and dreamers. They started to see reading not as a task, but as a journey—one they wanted to take again and again.\r\n\r\nAnd something even more amazing happened: they started imagining themselves as authors. After reading stories written by people who look like them, many of my students began saying, \"I want to write a book too!\" They realized their voices matter, their stories matter, and that they have something important to share with the world. Because of you, our readers are becoming storytellers—and I truly believe their voices will one day change the world. Thank you for planting that seed.","fullyFundedDate":1608685427331,"projectUrl":"project/representation-and-responsive-classroom/5314623/","projectTitle":"Representation and Responsive Classroom Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ventrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp799701_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1593035869665","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-ventrell"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_124346","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":279,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":41,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":40,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":42,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":55.6,"schoolId":124346,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about KIPP Upper Roseville Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"KIPP Upper Roseville Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/new-jersey-department-of-education/kipp-upper-roseville-academy/124346"}
