This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Welcome! I work with students from Fresno, California who are in Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Their ages range from 3 to 5 years old with different cognitive abilities. In our class there are 12 very unique students with Autism. Everyday our team works with our students on, routines, math, communication, social skills and their individual education plans.

When are students are not in class working hard to meet their IEP goals they join the general education students for inclusion.

Our students enjoy learning the alphabet, counting, dinosaurs and anything sensory related activities. I absolutely love working with our students and they deserve the best that we have to offer.

My Project

With these new classroom materials students can explore their sensory needs and regulate their bodies and minds. By incorporating new, fun and exciting sensory activities to each of our 4 learning stations will keep students working hard towards their educational, communication and social skills goals.

Our students thrive the best when their needs are met.

These needs include sensory exploration and exposure to new textures, lights and movements. Sensory exploration can help develop fine motor skills and also spark interest in learning. These new additions to our classroom will also help spark conversations and relationships between students.
