Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students would love to get some Sensory bins to use in our classroom daily. We would use these bins to help us calm down, help them to refocus, and prepare our minds for our work and learning new skills.

We have used some sensory bins that are shared with other classes at times and it has shown improvement in concentration and educational success by allowing the kids to calm down or regroup.

Many don’t have fine motor equipment at home and they love the chance to build, create, and explore with markers, pads, legos, blocks, magnetic kits, dollhouse kits, and small finger toys.

When we are feeling anxious or like we may need a break - It is a great item to have in a classroom for social emotional learning purposes. Creating these sets would also allow us to share with 1st and 2nd grade in our school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
