My Project

These items will help the children be more hands on in the classroom. Every week we have a new theme to learn about in our class and having a sensory bin that matches that theme helps our children learn. It helps with fine motor skills and critical thinking. We learn about space exploration, all the different holidays, pond life, lifecycles, dinosaurs, gardening, ocean, seasons, transportation, community helpers, all about me, emotions, sequencing, sorting, colors and so much more. One of our favorite themes to teach is weather, imaging a sensory bin filled with rainbow puzzles, tornado spinners, snowflakes, clouds, rain, hail and tons of other weather related items.

Right now at a preschool age the child are like sponges soaking in all the things they see, hear, smell and touch.

They learn so much more by being hands on and not just hearing it repeated to them.
