Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a special needs school in an urban setting. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and most live in high-poverty neighborhoods. They deal with a variety of challenges, but come to school ready and willing to learn. I am teaching zoology this school year, and would like to continue providing my students with hands-on learning opportunities.

My Project

My students learn so much more when they have sensory input. Before the holiday I purchased "a bulk of zip it and pop it bracelets. The students were so excited even my coworkers. Those little gadgets kept them engaged and relaxed while completing assignments. The gadgets will help my students with cognitive growth, communication, confidence, problem solving, fine and gross motor skills to carry out day to day tasks.

My students will be grateful yet excited to have these gadgets.
