My students are absolutely incredible. The students in my classroom have a wide range of disabilities. And all have their own unique ABILITIES too! My classroom is designed to teach to students who are currently unable to learn in the general education setting because of their needs for extra support in their behavior, adaptive skills, and academics. Every single one of my students is different. They are all on different ability levels and doing their best to learn the skills they need to succeed in life!
My Project
Even though my students all have different disabilities. It is very important to me that in our classroom they are taught to reach their full potential. These student each have so much potential if we can just help them to figure out how to access that potential.
Many of the students in my class struggle with having sensory needs that make it hard for them to sit still and focus on what is being taught to them.
Many of the products in this project will help students to be able to focus on when doing their work and have tactile models and tools to use in lessons and activities. Others will help them to relax and take breaks when they need them so that they can continue learning later on.
A few of the products in this project will help the students to learn the life skills needed to be independent in their adult lives. In class, we work on social skills lessons including, emotions, how to do chores, and other important everyday life skills.
