This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will be starting my 12th year of teaching and did some much needed reflecting during my first weekend of Summer Break. I have two major takeaways that I would love some help with!

I need your help with creating "ready-to-go STEM Kits" as well as expanding my flexible seating to help further cultivate a creative learning environment!

One way I can better impact my students is through consistent STEM learning opportunities because STEM reaches all learners in some aspect! Another way I can improve my classroom is by adding to my flexible seating choices so all learners can feel comfortable, students can effectively collaborate, and students will be engaged in a sensory input of choice which will increase their focus levels. Not to mention that flexible seating helps to create a fun learning environment, where students have agency over their space. Lastly, flexible seating also increases students' responsibility in regards to caring for and maintenance of seating!
