Over the past few years I have done my best to purchase several flexible seating options for my classroom, but I am hoping to add to my eclectic assortment of large pillows and lap desks. I would love to have flexible seating options to create four separate areas within the classroom so students have agency to choose their learning environment. In addition to teaching 2nd grade, I am also a yoga teacher and that background has brought me to the place I am today, which is believing in the benefit of providing movement and mindfulness moments in the academic learning day. In my opinion, creating a flexible classroom leads to students who excel in their own individual capacities because they are able to focus and learn in a comfortable space.
