My Project

My students are a lovable group of 20 preschool students. Our classroom is a blended model classroom in which we are comprised of students with and without an IEP(Individualized Education Plan). In our classroom, many students have different sensory and social needs.

The sensory items will assist in helping to regulate emotions and behaviors for some of my students.

The foam paint will give students a new texture to feel while exploring their creative side. The tactile liquid letters will help some students focus on letter recognition as they are holding and feeling out the shape of the letter. The sensory viewers are an item that helps calm students who are overstimulated or having a hard day. The wonder wands will be fun for students to use for calming down, as well as science exploration. The tilt viewers are a sensory calming item that can also be used for problem solving and exploration.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
