This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Exploration is a vital part of preschool learning. Sensory play also called messy play using the five senses to help children explore a variety of different material, textures, and objects.

Sensory play stimulates many of a child’s senses - builds cognitive skills and influences how children learn about their world.

It encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity and helps to build nerve connections in the brain. There are benefits that may go unnoticed, such as the developing the ability to focus and block out distractions.

We love playing and learning through play is an integral part of our life in preschool!
