Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach at a high-needs elementary school in Nevada. We have a low socio-economic population and more than three-fourths of the students have free or reduced lunch. We recently became a Title 1 school but we still need some help.

My elementary school understands the importance of including Science as a subject. However, we really do not have the funds to supply adequate science materials. My students have really shown a love for science and want to learn about other topics. I would like to have enough materials so that each child can learn.

I am asking for ready to use science activity tubs. These kits are already made with all the needed materials and are easily assessable to me and the students. I could divide the students into small cooperative groups and each group could work with one of the science topics. These kits also include hands on materials for them to share. My students love creating! These kits teach to their different learning styles or modalities.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to learn more about Science and strengthen their love of learning. Who knows, with your help, I might discover the next Albert Einstein or Marie Curie!
