Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The kids in our school love to learn, but we don't have what we need for all their lessons. Most of my students (90%) live far below the poverty line. This makes the job of a school even more important.
The students we teach are living in poverty, but that's just where they are starting.
They have big dreams, but they need to work hard now. They want to become scientists, artists, and mathematicians. Help them reach for those dreams!
My Project
To practice writing, kids need pencils. To draw pictures and make charts, kids need markers. The problem is our classroom doesn't have enough school supplies. Our pencils are mostly broken and their folders are all torn up.
By choosing this project, you will be giving students pencils, markers, and folders-- everything they need for the day's lessons.
We will finally have what we need like a working pencil sharpener and folders to organize their writing. It seems like such a small thing, but sending our class school supplies will make a huge difference. Thank you for caring about our kids!
