I work in a Title I school district, which means that the majority of my students come from poor economic backgrounds. I believe school should be their escape. It should be fun and a place where they learn that anything is possible.
It is my goal to expose my students to the generosity of the world.
I have had smaller projects funded through this site. My students were in awe knowing that complete strangers cared about them and their success. My hope is that they will pay your generosity forward in the future.
My Project
These journals are going to bring a sense of excitement to our classroom. I try to fill my classroom with materials that are relevant to my students' interest. I think a set of mindfulness journals are just the thing to inspire students to want to reflect upon their actions and learn to self regulate to ensure both behavioral and academic success. I know my students will try their hardest for the opportunity to write their own coveted journal.
