Self-Regulating Time Snacks!

Help me give my students mints, chocolate, gum, chewy snacks, and Play-Doh to lower their stress from trauma.

My Project

I attended the training, Trauma Informed Easy to Implement Self-Regulation Strategies. We have been using many new strategies to help my students who have trauma. Most of my students, over 70%, are from low-income families and have much trauma in their backgrounds. I need self-regulating snacks for my students!

I would like to get their mouths breathing!

These are several of the items that can achieve that. Mints will increase alertness and decrease stress, crunching will reduce anxiety and aggression, gum will reduce anxiety and aggression and increase alertness, milk chocolate will calm nerves, and dark chocolate will regulate stress hormones.

I would like Play-Doh to use with our balloons to make stress-reducing squeeze balls. The mint will be put in the diffuser to decrease their stress from trauma.
