My Students

I love sharing my passion for art with my students and watching them blossom into young artists. With my 4th and 5th graders, creativity is never in short supply.

Through art, students are able to develop creative problem-solving skills as well as an appreciation for culture and other subjects.

Through the creation of art and experimentation with a variety of materials, students are able to develop creative problem-solving skills. Students love to explore the work around them through creation and providing a variety of materials makes that exploration enjoyable and engaging.

This year more than ever, it is critical for students to have a creative outlet in order to express their thoughts and feelings.

My Project

I love teaching my artist's how to create their own likeness. It gives my young artists a sense of self and forces them to really look at how beautiful they truly are.

Creating self portraits is a rite of passage in the art world.

Students gain a new self confidence when they learn how to create a true likeness of themselves. They learn how to create from truly observing their own unique features and love how different and unique they are. It is a self confidence booster and way to show artists the beauty of individuality.
