My Students

I have the most amazing group of students this year. They are driven and focused. They are super excited to learn how to be better critical thinkers. I want to make our classroom the best possible place for them to learn. They strive to do their best and work hard every day. I am continuously impressed with what they can do and how they contribute to class conversations.

Self paced learning has been an effective strategy I have used in the past and I want to implement it at the elementary level.

Learning how to create this type of curriculum will help me create even more learning opportunities for my students that truly meet them where they are at and help support their learning no matter if they need reteaching, grade level work, or enrichment opportunities for all topics.

My Project

This professional development will help me design and develop lesson plans around my students' needs. I will be able to create a self-paced learning environment where students who need enrichment, get it; students who need reteaching and extra support, get it; students who are on grade level, get it.

This is an opportunity to continue transforming my classroom into the best learning environment for my students, their learning needs, and learning styles.

I will design lessons that students can watch on their own to allow them to replay, pause, and thinking about different steps- creating an environment where we are all making the best use of our time and expertise. They will then complete activities at their level to best support their learning. My goal is to start with math and develop into other areas as well.
