My students are so inquisitive! They are curious souls who are always seeking new information and building on what they already know. They are unafraid to ask the hard questions and are learning to be problem-solvers who can seek solutions through their resources.
These awesome first graders love to learn through literature and hands-on experiences.
Their brightest moments shine through when they are able to be creative and show their knowledge beyond a piece of paper and pencil.
My Project
This project is centered around helping my students develop social-emotional awareness. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many students did not get the social interaction that they so desperately need in their early childhood development. With that lack of socialization comes a lack of understanding of how to interact with others.
The resources from this project will provide our class with literature and learning experiences surrounding self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, relationship, and self-management skills.
Through these learning experiences, my hope is for my students to solidify their understanding of SEL and be able to apply the skills in all areas of their life.
