Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are embarking on learning Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills, and need materials to do it with! These skills are especially important for them to learn because they struggle with behaviors because of their autism or intellectual disabilities and struggle to learn to wait, tolerate no, and learn to share.
They love new materials, and I know they will respond better to learning hard things with these materials.
The journals will help them see a record of growth and improve their writing; the people counters will help them visualize stories and rewriting, and the wall padding will add to our calm down corner.
Finally, these materials will affect these students in and out of the classroom. Please consider giving my students the gift of SEL learning.
