Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the school psychologist, I work with students who have a wide-variety of needs. From recent trauma to more chronic mental health issues, there are a multitude of needs to meet.
With this project, I am trying to build a resource and curriculum library to support the 650 students at my school.
These resources will be used to purchase, print, and laminate the curriculum as well as help the kids enjoy them. The goal is to have resources at-the-ready in order to respond quickly to student needs. The gift card will be used to purchase curriculums focused on coping skills, growth mindset, processing grief, and more.
During sessions, while using these curriculums, the crayons and color pencils will be for the students’ use. I serve a diverse student community which is why Crayola's World of Color crayons would be such a benefit.
