This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We all struggle sometimes. School, work, home- what to wear, who to talk to, when to do our homework. Being a kid is hard.

Emotional regulation is the key to success.

Times are hard, and the needs of our students have continued to sky rocket. As Social Emotional Learning Specialists, its our job to help students learn how to regulate their emotions both inside and outside of that classroom. With a Cozy Corner available to students, we will be able to provide a space to regulate with students and teach better coping/regulation skills to students. We will also have a space to help students calm down before reteaching the skills necessary to regulate in the classroom.
