My Project

These products will help my students segment, blend and write words in a fun and interactive way! The trays are color coded, so each student can have their own color! I already have the words laminated and printed that would stand in each tray!

Students will SAY the name of the picture card card out loud, SEGMENT each sound placing magnetic chips on the tray, SWIPE and collect the chips as they BLEND sounds together and WRITE the sounds for each letter they hear!

Students can also use the pop its to pop each letter sound as they segment words instead of using the magnetic wand. They might think they are doing a different game, but it reinforces the same skill using a different manipulative.

Students can practice these activities during small group reading while having so much fun manipulating sounds in words!
