My Project

The block people in my classroom are over ten years old. My students love to play with dolls and use their imaginations to play at the dollhouse. They also love to play in the kitchen and have recently began playing family where there are adults and children and various members of the family interacting. Observing them as they play and imagine is a wonderful and effective way to get to know my students and allow them to explore their own identities.

My students are very diverse in cultural, ethnic, racial, and lingual identities and abilities.

They deserve to see that reflected in the toys they have access to and play with. I would very much appreciate support in purchasing materials to further encourage my students in their imaginative play.
