Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a high poverty, farming community, have multiple siblings and are English Language Learners.

If supplies are needed, the local Dollar Store is the one place with anything for the entire town.

It is a blessing if my students enter the class with a sharpened pencil, eraser, and paper from day to day. Despite uncontrollable financial woes, my students are still my children. They are eager, excited learners, and I want to facilitate their learning to the best of my ability.

My Project

Displaying children's work lets them know you value not only it but them as well! We live in a very technological world, and teaching with technology has been an amazing addition to my classroom. However, being able to display their work has been such a drawback, and quite disappointing.

My students are creating amazing things!

I am unable to use the office/library printer to print student work. With our classroom printer, my students are able to see that I value their work and that I value them! Having been previously blessed with a classroom printer has been amazing, but now we need the toner in order to continue printing our masterpieces for all to see.

I believe that my students will benefit in being able to see their digital masterpieces become works I am able to display around the room. The toner for our classroom printer is just the solution! Having toner for our in-class printer will allow me to print their presentations in "real" time and get it posted instantly. Visibility leads to value!
