My Students

My 24 TK/K students are willing and able to learn, but need the best experiences to broaden their horizons. We are a Title I school, and most of my students have not ever been to a school. I am planning to add flex seating to my classroom to make reading time the focus of the year. My students are 4 and 5 year olds that have short attention spans but a thirst for knowledge.

We are developing life long learners and global citizens.

Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. Students learn better when they have a chance to work together. Traditional desks in rows isolate students from each other. As they gain knowledge and feel empowered, the greatest gift I can give them is the ability to see what learning opportunities are available.

My Project

These items will help set up a home classroom. I will use the HD webcam to meet with my students daily. The high definition camera will allow my students to clearly see any instruction from a Zoom meeting. It is imperative that my students see math problems modeled on a whiteboard, and they will be following along at home with their own personal whiteboards. The OKIO cam will be used as a document camera so students can follow along with written lessons. That way instruction like workbook pages can be modeled with variety in instruction.
