My Project

My students study how living things survive, and how plants contribute to the ecosystems. They are also learning how humans can adapt their behavior to live in changing habitats. Now they are only able to read on paper what we are studying, but with this project they will be able to have their very own plants growing in the classroom that we can study and learn from!

Having a variety of gardens, the traditional plants in pots, and seedlings in a closed environment and the hydroponic garden will allow my students to visually see and and learn hands on how plants can grow in different environments and why certain environments are more ideal for growth.

Having all of this at their fingertips will help them become more aware about our own climate and environment too. They will learn how to make a bigger impact in our world while helping to add more natural plants for all to enjoy!
