Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a class of students with diverse backgrounds. The class is Spanish and the grades are 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th. Most students in this class come from low-income families and are eager to learn.

I seek to provide student-centered learning and self-determined advancement.

When you look around in every class, you see all races and different perspectives.

Right after getting comfortable with each other, we set out to learn the language with rigor and mutual respect.

My Project

In our classroom, thanks to the generosity of DonorsChoose's patrons, we already are providing Oculus experiences traveling the world, visiting virtual museums, zoos, architecture, etc!

Help us double the amount of students that we can offer the opportunity to learn virtually with an Oculus virtual reality headset!

As we are learning new features, like health and fitness, we continue to allow students to safely get excited experiencing the world in all its diversity. What a ride it is to witness student excitement in the classroom as they are offered advanced technology in a learning environment by using an Oculus virtual reality headset!
