Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students and the surrounding community are labeled Title I, low socio-economic. We have a diverse population (with a higher number of Hispanic students) who all receive free breakfast daily.

I teach 5th grade bilingual, so these kids are receiving their education in both languages, and are thriving.

These kiddos have been through so much and have had difficult home situations, yet they are in school every day ready and eager to learn and do better.

They all come with different skills and it would be amazing to see them transcend not only in, but out of the classroom.

My Project

Will this new pandemic among us, it has been difficult for my students to continue learning from home. Without the proper support, doing work from home has been proven much more difficult to handle. There is enough stress on the shoulders of my students without having to add constant headaches to the mix.

I don't ever want a student to miss class again because their head hurt or their eyes were tired from staring at a screen all day.

I want to give my students the best chance possible when working from home. With these blue light glasses, I know I can help eliminate one factor in this online learning experience.
