This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a charismatic group of young musicians eager to learn as much as they can. Their determination to be the best they can be despite all naysayers, makes teaching them that much more enjoyable! My student musicians continue to rise to the occasion for performances, impressing me time and time again. My band and choral students perform many times throughout the year including concerts, MPA festival, school events, and host community outreach projects. They truly are a versatile talented group of students!

My Project

Since the beginning of our bands existence, our instruments have not had proper storage. In the past we have had to use closets and old bookcases for basic band instruments. But since our program is growing exponentially, instruments now are sitting out in the open where anyone can access them. If each of our instruments are stored and safely secured, we will have a more reliable instrument accountability system for our students.

This Product will help my students by giving them a proper and safe storage compartment for their instrument.

The storage shelf has 10 compartments with grilled doors for each of them. This storage unit also has latches on the doors with locking capability, allowing the students and band staff to have peace of mind knowing the instrument can be left in a safe place.
