Secret Stories Help Us Learn Sounds

Help me give my students a Secret Stories Classroom set to help them learn rules for letter sounds in a way that is fun and easy to remember.

My Project

My kindergarten students work so hard every day learning to read and write. Our alphabet system has way more than 26 sounds. This classroom kit uses secret stories that capture the interests of young students to help them remember all these other sounds.

I introduced my students to two of the Secret Stories (th and it,er,ur) when we came across words with these letter combinations, and the Secret Stories worked!

Even students still mastering the basic 26 sounds, were able to retell the story, recognize the letter combinations, and produce the correct sounds.

This kit will provide all the Secret Stories and posters to display with eye catching fun graphics to easily call to mind the stories.

I truly believe this Secret Stories classroom kit will prove invaluable in helping our Kindergarten students become more successful readers and writers!
