My Students

I love my school! It's fairly small with a population of approximately 400 students. It has the feel of a family, and our students are the best! They are kind, caring, and eager to learn.

My school is a Title I school, and 99% of our students live at the poverty level.

All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. We are located in a small community in Middle Tennessee. The students come from varying home situations and we have a significant Hispanic population. I have been teaching for 8 years and recently moved to second grade. My classroom serves 20 students.

My Project

I am requesting some privacy shields in order for my students to have an individual and private space to take their tests, and also to have an area closed off to them in order to focus and work without distraction. I am also requesting some much needed mouse pads to go with our classroom desktop computers. These are supplies we have needed for some time. I know these supplies don’t seem like a big deal, but they will make a difference for my students. Last school year ended abruptly, and we are hoping to make it through this year. Please consider donating to our class.
