My Students

I teach second-grade students with a variety of interests, abilities, and goals. We are part of a large school and strive to meet each child’s diverse needs. My students are enthusiastic children who come to school each day eager to learn. They love hands-on learning that allows them to be actively engaged in the content that is being taught.

My second graders are creative, have a thirst for knowledge, and enjoy learning in a variety of ways.

We use many different learning strategies to help each child reach his or her full potential every day.

My Project

This science equipment, Egg Incubator, Chick Feeder Waterer Kit, Starter Crumble Feed for Chicks & Ducklings|, will give my students hands-on learning experiences during our live animal unit. Part of our core is to study living things (plants and animals) and how they grow and what they need to survive. With these materials, students will get to observe and analyze the process a chick goes through and help them understand and identify the stages in the lifecycle of a chick. The egg incubator and materials will allow me to do just that with my sweet second graders who are so eager to learn. During these challenging and unique times, field trips are not allowed. Therefore, my students need engaging experiences to bring some extra joy and excitement to their learning. This project can do just that!
