This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second-grade​ students may not be rich with material items but they are rich with the love they have for learning. They love to take learning into their own hands and make it authentic.

Over 95% of our students are considered to be part of low socioeconomic families, but when they are in the classroom none of that seems to matter because their hearts are rich with love for learning.

My students are all talented in their unique ways. Several of my students know two languages and work extremely hard to master reading and writing in both languages.

My Project

My students love working in small groups because they get the opportunity to work with their peers and learn from​ each other. They love to have the ability to move around the room and use the knowledge they have learned during whole group instruction and make it authentic in their small groups.

We are requesting plastic stools that make it convenient for students to move around the room as a group and work in an area where they feel comfortable.

The plastic stools will give students the option to move around conveniently and choose to work wherever they would like.
