This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Community Center is the heart of Treeview Elementary. It is a place where we welcome any and all with opened arms. It is where we hold most of our meetings and prepare for most of our events. A judgment free zone, where you can walk in and take a break or even have a pick me up coffee or snack. A place where we support our students, families and one another. Help us seat the future by purchasing office chairs for our Community Center at Treeview Elementary.

Students, staff, and families will utilize the updated chairs in various ways, such as during study sessions, meetings, or community events, experiencing increased comfort and support.

Students can concentrate better on their studies, leading to improved academic performance. Staff members will benefit from reduced fatigue, enhancing their ability to provide quality services. Families attending workshops or events will feel more at ease, fostering a sense of belonging. A specific learning outcome could be the promotion of healthy sitting habits among all users, contributing to improved posture and overall well-being, ultimately leading to a more vibrant and engaged community within the school's community center.
