My classroom made up of 19 tiny Kindergarteners. Each day they arrive with individual needs that need to be met. Some students arrive hungry, some tired, some with learning disabilities and many dealing with trauma. As their teacher, I strive to meet as many of their needs as possible so that they are ready to "grow their brains" and learn to love school. Our classroom community works hard each day to do the best we can with what we have been given.
When I began teaching I purchased and created several flexible seating options in my classroom. This has been a major success for my students. With such tiny, wiggly learners flexible seating allows students to choose a seating option that is most suitable for their individual needs. Some of our current flexible seating options are broken from daily use and/or almost at the end of their life.
This project will allow me to replace the broken and worn out pieces with new sturdier pieces.
I appreciate any amount you can give to our classroom. This project and your contribution will impact lots of Kindergarten students for many years to come!
