My Project

Our class is in desperate need of seat pockets for my classroom to not only replace the ones that are currently falling apart to last the remainder of this year but also for my students next year as well! We need name plaques that can easily hold their name spelled correctly, in addition to a pencil and eraser to help keep students organized and able to spell their names correctly and form their letters appropriately. These two items alone will help students to waste less time hunting through their things and spend more time learning! Our class is also in need of storage tubs for our monthly themed dramatic play centers! Students have loved our centers, but it has been difficult to find everything and get each center set up in a timely manner for them without having proper places and organization. This will give students more time to play and learn instead of waiting weeks for some of the items to come out.

These students come from a high poverty and high needs elementary school where most students receive free lunch.

These students typically live in apartment complexes that do not allow for young children to go outside and play with others. These dramatic play centers are a wonderful way for students to learn social skills while also playing and learning important reading and math skills! Having tubs to organize these items will make a huge difference in the amount of time students get to play with each month's themed lessons before having to wait for the next months.
