My Project

In this project, I've selected books that I know will make my students laugh but also open their eyes to the world around them. To be read during our morning meetings, when we first start our day together.

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.

With these books, our class will be able to talk about tough topics like why Martin Luther King Jr advocated for civil rights. With Enemy Pie and Recess Queen, we learn the importance of friendship. The Crayon Man teaches us the importance of a dream and how inventions come alive. Others are to bring smiles to our faces when new seasons or holidays come our way.
