Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

A, B, C, D, E, F, G - what do the letters of the alphabet look like? What does a triangle look like? What is a sculpture? Many of my students need help with their alphabet, shapes, and forms. Most of my students have never had the opportunity to create sculptures, to use clay or to even experience play dough.

I would love to provide my art students with sculpture materials and tools to help them learn their alphabet and shapes through sculpture creations!

Students would build sculptures and create letters with Modeling Clay, Play Dough, Magnetic Tiles, Alphabet Learning Mats, and Sculpting Tools.

I have around 400 students, K-5 and 6 classes every day, so having multiple sets of reusable materials and tools would enable all of my students to have the opportunity to have a hands on learning experience that will increase their knowledge of the alphabet, of shapes, and of forms.
