Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every school year I am fortunate enough to get an amazing and diverse group of students. We work hard together to grow academically and socially through a variety of activities. While most of our day is filled with academic content, there are times where the students are given the opportunity to have choice in their activity, such as during indoor recess, or after a big test. Currently in the classroom, I have activity bins that include Pllay-Doh, puzzles, and construction toys. I want to add a technology choice and that's where the Toniebox comes in.
I want to give my students the opportunity to utilize screen-free technology that is safe and secure for children.
The Toniebox is perfect because students can only access content I have pre-approved. Each Tonie character has stories and/or songs that are predownloaded. When the character is placed on top of the box, stories and songs play. For this project, I picked Tonies of characters my students love and that they would be excited to use. I can't wait to see which one they will pick first!
