My Students

My seventh grade students need some scope in their lives... and Scholastic Scope magazine would help tremendously!

Our middle school is located in West Virginia.

The seventh grade students are incredibly interesting individuals that come from vast economic backgrounds. My students are amazing, but they constantly struggle with critical thinking skills and their writing abilities. In addition, some of my special needs students have trouble verbalizing their ideas. My amazing students always work very hard, and they desperately want to learn. They just need the proper tools to do so.

My Project

I know that Scholastic Scope magazine subscriptions will not only help my students develop the skills mentioned above, but also assist their speaking abilities. Scope issues contain exciting nonfiction and original fiction, as well as a tremendous variety of literary genres. In addition, the sixth graders develop core language arts skills with the writing exercises, vocabulary and grammar activities, standardized test preparation, etc. Having a subscription to this magazine would increase their learning capabilities in amazing ways!
