My 8th graders had an amazing day investigating in science class. All were so eager to jump in and try lab today.\r\nWe gave begun our school year and are reviewing the scientific method in our classes. Your donations helped to bring these obscertainers right to my junior scientists hands. They used their listening skills and their experimental schools to try to find the hidden path of a marble inside their obscertainers. It was a treat to see.\r\nWe are excited to use our blood typing skills after our holiday break as we enter our studies in genetics. Here's hoping we will solve our whodunit lab. Everything is greatly appreciated and we are so thankful to have these learning tools in our classroom. My learners enjoyed being junior vampires, I mean, phlebotomists. We created a scenario that they had to type the blood of four victims of a car accident. All jumped right in and went to work in our lab.\r\n\r\nThe students were hesitant at first to touch the blood vials and kept asking, \"where did you get the blood?\" and we kept replying \"have you checked the absence list?\" just to lighten the mood and make them giggle. Once they knew it was safe for testing, we set our sights on finding blood types for all.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for donating to such a great project. This was hands on and then some. It was easy to follow and easy to clean up too! We are so lucky to have great parents and sponsors that were able to contribute to our learning. We were out of pencils and this donation saved us! We are so grateful for you and are already using our materials.\r\n\r\nMr. Gooch, our student teacher, was so happy to use the paper trays that Mrs. Tripp constructed from our donation. It helps him organize student papers and activities with daily slots. It really helps keep us organized and engaged.\r\n\r\nOur glue sticks and scissors will be put to great use next week as we cut and paste our way through the cell and systems of the human body as we review for our end of the year GSA testing. \r\n\r\nWe are super stoked to use the plastic knives too. While this may be an odd material to request, it is very useful in science. We will be using these tools to make cell review cookies. Mrs. Tripp will coach us through our final edible review of the animal cell and we get to use our culinary skills to bake and decorate cookies in science class. What better way to learn! Again, thanks so much for all of our donations and here's to happy learners and a great end to our final year in middle school.","fullyFundedDate":1733520446493,"projectUrl":"project/restock-oclock-totally-magnificent-sup/8978955/","projectTitle":"Restock O’Clock!
