Scientists In The Making

My students need lab kits, where every student can participate individually, including the physical science lab kit (which includes 7 separate labs).

My Students

Science is a subject that should inspire students to question the world around them. Too often, students feel dread in a science classroom, and I want to introduce them to a classroom experience where they can feel free to question and explore during lessons and labs.

As a new teacher in a Title I school, I want the very best for my students.

My science class will be an 80 minute class this year with labs occurring at least twice a week. Many of the students in the school are low income, and I want to be able to supply my students with the materials they need, to not only learn Science, but also to grow as a confident and unique individual. This means providing lab materials for them. I am hoping the funding from this project will assist with the students' ability to delve deeper into the scientific world.

My Project

My students will be able to use hands on learning in order to review material, expand Thier knowledge, and teach them how to ask questions. Additionally, it will teach students to inquire as to how and why things occur in the world around us. I have requested supplies such as a lab supply kit with 7 complete labs, a buoyancy lab, and a lab that teaches the steps of the scientific method. These materials are a great way to show students how to solve problems, and evaluate Thier own work/learning.

My students need a chance to do hands-on science.

With this opportunity, students will be able to see how the scientific method effect the way they approach new situations everyday. WIth your help, this crucial learning can occur.
