Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom is full of excitement and wonder! My students are always asking questions about topics in science that we will not cover this year. Why limit them to what is being taught? Help our future chemists, physicists, engineers, neurologists, archaeologists, and marine biologists take in a wealth of knowledge through reading!
Based on the questions asked, students are eager to learn more than just the information taught in the classroom. Many students have asked me about books that relate to subjects outside of the curriculum. I seek to provide students with a classroom library with a broad range of science topics.
My Project
Having a classroom library will allow easy access to books in the classroom. Students will not have to wait to go to the media center to get a new book. When students finish work early, they need something that will capture their attention. Having a good book in the classroom will allow them to enhance their reading skills.
By donating to our project, you will contribute to the school goal of enhancing our students' reading skills. Having a library of books with comics and pictures will allow struggling readers to feel less intimidated than a typical book. The books will also provide visuals for English language learners, allowing them to connect the words to pictures. Readers who love chapter books will not be left out! There will be books to challenge their reading abilities, too.
Top rated for efficiency and transparency.
