My Students
Molding the minds of the next generation of leaders takes a great deal of resources. While I have access to some supplies and classroom inspirations, more often than not, I dip into my pockets to fill in the gaps. My students are from rural community where more than half of the families live below the poverty line.
Many of my student's families struggle to make ends meet for household needs and often supplies for school are not seen as a necessity.
By having a well stocked supply closet and an inspirational classroom for my students to enjoy will increase the their engagement and hopefully foster and grow a love of science.
My Project
These supplies will be used everyday to help my students breakdown science materials into bite-sized pieces of information. I give my students a good deal of freedom in choosing how to best breakdown new lessons, and they more often that not choose to create colorful graphs and charts.
Having a well-stocked supply of colorful paper and colorful markers keep my students wanting to draw and make their notebooks interesting and engaging for them!
They love the bright paper and markers to decorate the plain white pages of their notebooks. It makes those sometimes boring subjects just a bit more fun and interesting.
