My students need a set of Learning Science Libraries for science.
The world we live in today would no doubt be a different place if it were not for the amazing discoveries produced by scientists.
My students are a diverse group of 4th graders that love science and soak up information like sponges!
We are in a lower socioeconomic school that is struggling to meet the needs of our students and unfortunately do not have any science materials in which to use for teaching the required standards.
I personally, out of my own pocket, have recently purchased an interactive science CD library that will meet the teaching standards for my class. Unfortunately I am unable to purchase the books that go with the library. If I had these books I would have the materials that I need to teach science to my class.
My students will be tested next year in science and most often do not do well because we do not have the materials needed to effectively teach the required topics.
I want to change all that. My mission is to give my students every opportunity for success but I cannot do it alone. It takes a village.
