My students are inventors, investigators, creators . . . they are the future. They have the potential to do great things and deserve to have those opportunities. Watching them explore and observe is the most rewarding gift I get as a teacher. I love that moment when their project comes together and they fully understand the topic we are studying.

Our school/district is unique. It is in a suburban location, but our district lacks funding for important classroom supplies. We rely on our parent organization to raise funds for important educational supplies. Most of those funds are used for kindergarten aides and our library technician.
My Project
STEM learning is an important part of our curriculum. Having special STEM projects in my classroom, allows my students to explore first hand and learn about important science, math, technology, and engineering concepts.
Students learn best with hands-on, self-exploration projects.
Students will conduct a variety of STEM challenge activities and learn to persevere through the design process. As students create their projects and test them, they will have the opportunity to make changes and be more successful.
My students are fully engaged when they are creating a STEM project. Using the materials, my students will be active learners, engaged in their assignment and will be more likely to retain the information that they are presented.
