My Project

I work in a small K-8 school where I teach Science to 7th and 8th grade students. Many of the supplies we have are older, falling apart, hard to clean or broken. I have slowly started to replace supplies over the years because of budget. I can not replace everything myself. I am so grateful to Fiesta Bowl Charities for this donation of $2500 so that I can replace a massive amount of supplies for my students.

With the curriculum that I use there are many supplies that are "assumed" you already have.

I do not have these supplies because my classroom is a not a true science lab that you may see in other schools. When I go to do hands-on work for my students I often need to improvise, jury-rig things together or skip all of that and just watch a video. My goal is always to do more hands on activities. It's more fun for me and the students.

My students are so special because they deserve just as much as other kids do. They deserve all of the hands on materials and experiences. My student are caring, kind and important beings that deserve to learn science in a fun way.
